Day 1: Arrival And Transfer To Volcanoes Np(2.5hrs)

Welcome to Rwanda! The country of 1000 hills. 

On arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be met by Airport personnel who will help you with the direction to the arrival Covid - 19 testing center inside the Airport. After the test, you will be helped to exit the Airport . Your driver/guide will pick you up and transfer you to your hotel for check-in and overnight stay Onomo Hotel on a (BB) basis.

Day 2: Transfer To Bwindi National Park, Uganda.

After breakfast at 08.00 am, you will meet with your driver guide at the reception for a short briefing before driving to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - Uganda.

Later you will proceed for a short Kigali City Tour Experience which will include a visit to Gisozi genocide memorial site.

Kigali Genocide Memorial 

This is an extremely moving, challenging, educational, and ultimately inspiring memorial and a great place to understand the cause, tragedy, and successful rebuilding post-genocide.  The reconciliation and rebuilding have been miraculous, and these memorials are built to inform, educate and prevent such a tragedy to ever occur again.

The tour is very transparent and educational but very somber and humbling when you realize that over 250,000 deceased are buried on the site of the memorial.  Guaranteed you will feel every emotion during this visit.

The most common question that goes through your mind is “would I be capable of that level of forgiveness if I found myself in this situation.”  That’s a true inspiration.

After the tour, you depart for  Bwindi Impenetrable National Park , 4.5 hours away. En route, you break for lunch at Muhabura Hotel famous for good snacks and you get a chance to visit a room where Dian Fossey used to have her nights and called it her second home when she was a way from the forest during the gorilla habituation experience.Today you will get some brief back ground of Dr Dian Fossey and her life time in Rwanda with Gorillas.

After lunch we will continue our drive via Cyanika boarder, the road is good to the boarder and part of Uganda after crossing the road is good and later you will drive to a dusty road and a bit bumpy to Lake Mutanda Resort.

You will check in to Lake Mutanda Resort located on the hillside of beautiful Lake Mutanda with overwhelming views of the lake and Volcanoes of Uganda, Rwanda and Congo. Upon arrival at the lodge you get to enjoy a refreshing glass of  juice on the terrace overseeing the beautiful lake views.

Day 3: Rare Mountain Gorilla Trek

We'll start our day with an early breakfast, and then head out on a 40-minute drive to Bwindi headquarters, which serves as the starting point for briefing and meeting with our exceptional and knowledgeable local guides. Our guides will provide you with invaluable information on gorilla tracking etiquette, based on their extensive experience with these magnificent creatures.

We'll then make our way into the forest, using information communicated to us by the advance group (trackers), to reach the spot where the gorillas were spotted the night before. The trek may last anywhere from 2 to 6 hours, and while the terrain may be rough and muddy, the breathtaking beauty of the surrounding forest scenery makes it all worthwhile.

Once we locate the gorillas, all fatigue will fade away, as the experience is often described as life-changing. To make your hiking experience more comfortable, we recommend hiring a porter to assist with carrying your backpack and offering support when necessary. We'll have our packed lunch along the way, and after our trek, we'll head back to the lodge for refreshments and relaxation. Don't miss out on this once-in-a-lifetime experience!

Day 4: Transfer To Kigali For Your Departure

This morning after breakfast you will check out from your lodge and journey back to Rwanda (Kigali) via Cyanika border 4.5 hours’ drive.  On arrival in Kigali, you will have your lunch at Hotel de Mille Collins Rwanda or Chez Robert for African dishes sampling.

Depending on your outbound flight time we can take you straight to the airport.  Alternatively, if time allows we can take you for souvenir and craft shopping, recommend and take you to the best restaurants in Kigali to have dinner before transferring you to Kigali airport for your flight back home.
