Day Tour Kilimanjaro – Mandara Hut
.Join us on our Kilimanjaro Day trip to Mandara Hut. You get to witness a magnificent part of this breathtaking mountain. This tour will take you through the Marangu Route. Also known as the “Coca-Cola Route,” it is the oldest trail on Mount Kilimanjaro. Don’t miss this chance to explore the beauty of Kilimanjaro in just one day!
Starting at 7:00 am, we will make our way to the Marangu Gate. You will begin your ascent through dense forest along a stream. The total duration of the hike up the mountain and back down is 7-8 hours, covering a total distance of around 16km.
The first leg of the hike takes you to Mandara Hut, situated at 2700m above sea level. You will have the chance to see a diverse range of flora and fauna, including varieties of birds, and primates like the Black and White Colobus monkey and the tree Hyrax.
At 1:30 pm, you’ll have a delicious lunch at the Mandara Hut, where you can take in the beautiful surroundings. As you descend the mountain, you can enjoy a short walk to the rim of Maundi Crater. It is a remnant of a volcanic vent that offers glorious views of Mawenzi and Kibo Peaks on a clear day.
